Free quote generator
Fill in the form and download your quote as a PDF. It's free, you don't need an account, and the layout matches estimates created in Buezli.
What a quote should contain
A quote sets expectations before the work starts. Requirements differ by country and VAT status, so check with your accountant or tax office when in doubt.
- Your details
- Your name or company name, your address and a way to reach you. Add your VAT number if you're registered for VAT.
- Your client's details
- The name and address of the person or company the quote is for.
- Number and date
- A quote number and the date you issue it, so both sides can refer to the same version later.
- Validity
- How long the offer stands, for example 30 days. After that, prices and availability can change.
- Scope of the work
- What's included and, just as useful, what isn't. A short subject line helps your client find the quote again.
- Prices and currency
- Quantity, unit price and amount for each line, and a total in a clearly stated currency.
- VAT, where it applies
- If you're registered for VAT, show the rate and the amount, or state clearly whether prices include or exclude VAT.
- Terms and acceptance
- Payment terms, the planned schedule and how the client confirms the quote, for example by replying in writing.

Questions and answers
Is the quote generator free?
Yes. You can create and download as many quotes as you like, without an account and without paying. The PDF carries a small note that it was made with buezli.app.
What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?
The words are often used interchangeably. A quote usually states a price for a clearly defined scope, while an estimate is an approximate figure that can change as the work unfolds. Whichever you use, write down how binding the numbers are and how long they're valid.
How long should a quote be valid?
As long as you state on it. Many businesses use 14 to 30 days. The generator has no separate field for this, so add a line such as "Valid until 31 October" to the notes.
Do you store my quote data?
No. Your entries are kept in your own browser so you can continue later. To create the PDF, the form is sent to our server once, and nothing is saved there. Clear the form to remove the entries from your browser as well.
How does my client accept the quote?
Ask for a written confirmation, for example a reply by email or a signed copy of the PDF, and keep it with your records. In Buezli, clients accept or decline online and the decision is saved on the estimate.
Can I turn the quote into an invoice?
In the free tools, open the invoice generator and enter the accepted items there. In Buezli, an accepted estimate becomes an invoice draft in one step.
When quotes turn into regular work
In Buezli, clients accept or decline an estimate online through a secure link, and an accepted estimate becomes an invoice draft with one click. Time tracking, invoices and payments are included. CHF 99 per active user per year, 30 days free without a credit card.
