A project budget in hours or money
Pick the budget that matches how the project was sold. Count total project hours, hours per task, total internal cost or billable value per task. A budget can cover the whole project or start again every month, which suits ongoing monthly work.
- Internal cost budgets can include the project's expenses.
- Billable value per task is available for time and materials projects.
- Time recorded by coding agents counts with its adjusted duration, like any other entry.
Budget alerts before the money runs out
Switch on alerts for a project and choose a threshold, 80% by default. Once tracked work crosses it, the account owners and the project's managers get an email with the hours used and left. There is still time to talk to the client before the budget is gone.
- Task budgets alert per task, so one task running over doesn't hide inside the total.
- Each alert is sent once, and monthly budgets can alert again the next month.

The project dashboard
Every project has a dashboard with its hours per week, shown in 26-week periods. Next to the chart you see tracked time, costs, invoiced work and what's left in the budget. For a lifetime hours budget, you can compare cumulative progress with the budget line.
- See at a glance how much billable work hasn't been invoiced yet.

Team utilization across projects
The utilization report compares the hours each person tracked with their weekly capacity. It shows who carried the most work in a given week and who had room left, across all projects.
- Weekly capacity is set per person.
- Hours on fixed-fee projects count toward utilization as well.
- The report looks at tracked hours. Buezli doesn't plan or forecast future capacity.

Questions and answers
What kinds of project budgets can I set?
Four: total project hours, hours per task, total internal cost and billable value per task. Each one runs for the lifetime of the project or resets every month.
Who gets the budget alert?
The account owners and everyone marked as project manager on that project. The email names the project and shows how much of the budget is used and left.
Can I change the alert threshold?
Yes. Alerts are switched on per project, with a threshold of your choice up to 100%. The suggested value is 80%.
Do expenses count toward the project budget?
For an internal cost budget, you decide. Turn on the option to include expenses and they are added to the cost of the time tracked.
Does Buezli show project profitability?
There is no profitability report. The project dashboard shows tracked time, costs, invoiced work and the remaining budget side by side, and the reports break hours down by client, project, task and person.
What does it cost?
Budgets, alerts, reports and everything else are included for CHF 99 per active user per year. You can try it for 30 days without a credit card.
